Challenge: The management of Security Services staff at flagship property for The Starwood Hotels & Resorts  A Mobile Five Star, AAA Five Diamond hotel in the heart of the financial district (Buckhead) Atlanta, GA with emphasizes on providing consistently efficient, effective and high-quality professional security services, via sound leadership in a multitude of guest related scenarios, coupled with providing a secured work environment for the guest, patrons, and the staff of the St. Regis, Atlanta Hotel and Residences

  • Instrumental in 2009 Grand Opening of The St. Regis, Atlanta Hotel and Residences, a Five Star/Five Diamond Starwood Hotels & Resorts Flagship property in heart of metropolitan Atlanta’s Buckhead (the financial district).  This encompassed all Pre-Opening/Post Opening training process, overview and implementation was successful. The property as a whole did not accrue any substantial injuries and the staff embraced the accident-free work environment.
  • Oversaw strategic placement of security operations during pre-opening/post opening operations until stabilization was achieved regarding property asset protection.
  • Conceptualize, develop and implement programs for identifying trend, creating strategic plans, and implements measures toward the prevention of similar occurrences in the future
  • Assure financial success of our hotel via a weekly conference regarding the Labor Analysis Report in conjunction with the Labor Analysis Justification Documentation and overview of departmental expenditures
  • Assure financial success of our hotel via an in-depth and comprehensive employee accident prevention program (Worker Compensation) in conjunction with compliance with OSHA rules, regulations and policies.
  • In the role of liaison, provide consultation, professional representation and expert testimony in scenarios wherein litigation is involved regarding prosecution, defense, and/or liability.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing training classes on federal mandatory safety practices, e.g. Bloodborne Pathogens, Material Safety Data Sheets, Emergency Evacuation Drills, Manager on Duty, Hotel Fire Brigade, hotel leadership/general hotel population
  • Assure the proper handling (Lead Investigator) of crime, incidents, Medical Emergencies as well as traffic
